Title: Open GL failure
Post by: Mystefix on 11 July 2006, 08:53:15
Hello,

i have an AMD64 3000+ Socket 939 with an ASUS V9999GT (Nvidia 6800GT). The OS ist Windows XP an i have installed the latest  video card driver from nvidia, but i get the following message:

Your system supports OpenGL version "1.1.0"
Glest needs at least version 1.3 to work
You may solve this problem by installing your latest video card drivers

If I reboot the machine i can play the game. What is the problem for this error ?

It looks like you either have hardware acceleration disabled or outdated drivers.

I think I have hardware acceleration enable and i have the lastest video card driver from Nvidia for the Geforce series.

The version of the driver is: 91.31

If the hardware acceleration disable why i can play the game after i reboot the machine ?

This seems a general problem in Glest, here are lots of Bugs in this way.

Is there a general bug with NVIDIA cards and OpenGL ?

No, nvidia cards are the best cards for OpenGL, there must be a weird configuration problem with your machine, because your card should support opengl 2.0.
