All of my models that I use look white in-game. I assume it's because Glest tries to put the original unit's (i.e. archer) texture onto my new model. I tried deleting the original texture but Glest said there was an error because I deleted it. Is there a way to prevent Glest from trying to load up the original texture? My models have built-in textures (not sure if that exists but my models already have color) and they don't come with seperate texture images to load.

Are you using a bitmap texture in your models?

I have no idea (I'm relatively new to 3D modelling, let alone texturing) all I know is that my models have no texture images along with them, I just load up the model and the color is already there. What I really need is someone to help me with my game.

you've assured that your models have bitmap texture applyed in 3dsmax. In the export plugin you have to activate "texture coordinates" and you can export the model, if you follow this instructions the export plugin creates tga texture for your model.
Sorry for my english :-[

Glest doesn't try to load the archer textures, glest loads the textures in your model, if your model has no textures, it will be displayed without them.

how come my models show up white when I know they have color? (Sorry, I'm kind of new at this)
-
That's because glest uses for model color tue current diffuse color of the material, if the object has no material models are shown in white
