I just to commit glest 3.1.2 update into FreeBSD port tree, i tested it and it is working very fine on my FreeBSD box. Maybe i need some comentaries about like glest multiplayer support is working on FreeBSD because i didn't have time for test it.
Well it's all, enjoy it :)

After upgrade, on my FreeBSD a new glest is max unstable. It freeze my FreeBSD totally.
Here is some info (I can't attach any debug, cause it freeze):
[em@laptop /usr/home/em]$ uname -a
FreeBSD laptop 8.0-CURRENT FreeBSD 8.0-CURRENT #1: Tue Mar 18 07:01:11 CET 2008 em@laptop:/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/LAPTOP i386
Mouse cursor is still visible after start, but inactive. And when menu shows up, glest (and all other) freeze.

Well, i think that the main reason for it could be that you are using a devel version of FreeBSD, there still are a lot of unstable things that could cause your problem.
Try it with a RELEASE or STABLE (muche better) version of FreeBSD (maybe 6.3 or 7.0)
