Title: Glest 3.1 available on Mac OS X

Hi guys,

I released Glest 3.1.2 for Mac OS X. I also updated GlestConf. Now it checks the version of OpenGL and judge Glest will work on your Mac or not.

I can't start a game... There is a critical error when I start the game and select the gamemode
I have a G4 Powermac with 10.5


I have a Intel IMac with 10.4 too...
There I can start a game without errors

I hope anybody can help me

Run /Applications/Utilities/Console and look into console.log or system.log. You'll find an error message from Glest.

Hi,

same problem here: Glest starts up nicely. After selecting a scenario the screen with all the init messages comes up. After a lot of those messages Glest quits without any comment, except in the console log which says:

Restarting audio source because of buffer underrun.
Couldn't process event: OpenGL error: invalid enumerant at file: /Users/kseki/Develop/glest-source-3.1.2/Xcode/../glest_game/graphics/renderer.cpp, line 2483

Works beautifully, thanks!

(It wasn't obvious to me that the data tarball is also an installable Mac package. After installing the data and the Glest packages it worked quite well.)

I downloaded glest, but when i open glestconf it says sorry glest won't work on your mac, I've got a newish intel macbook (2GHZ intel core duo), so I don't really see a reason for this, maybe i've got something set wrong... any help would be greatly appreciated

Can I found Mac port of Glest elsewhere or is there a solution to enter this server ?

Although my ip is blocked at the .../english page, I was still able to download a Mac OS X binary from:

http://ciderhouse.opal.ne.jp/archives/Glest31App.dmg (http://ciderhouse.opal.ne.jp/archives/Glest31App.dmg)

You will still need a data file for this. Not sure if it was the order I did things or not, but I had to make a ~/Library/GlestGame directory before I could run GlestConf. That directory is also where the data files are located.

I think you use wrong game data. Did you get the data for 3.1 (Glest31Data.pkg.zip) from my site (ciderhouse.opal.ne.jp)?
