Post by: anifan on 29 June 2008, 20:33:00
Hello, I just got Glest version 3.1.2. The installation was fine, but when i try to create a game or press the Scenario button a white screen pops up and i get error 10013 :"Network Error binding network socket."
PLease help, i am running windows Vista, and in case it is important Mcafee security center, in case it is interfering. Thank you

Glest uses TCP port 61357, if you are behind a router you will have to forward this port to your computer if you want to host games.

Maybe this? I'm confused about network sockets...

It might be Mcafee security center preventing the port from being binded or something else.
Socket error 10013 is access denied. Have a read of http://www.qksoft.com/qk-smtp-server/so ... 10013.html (http://www.qksoft.com/qk-smtp-server/socket-error-10013.html)
