hi,
i have Glest installed on windows, and here's the problem: after a while of playing, i can only hear the background music, but not the people when they are talking or the sound effects they make during battle, and also after a while of playing, when i want to build something, the preview of that building doesn't appear, and the information about the building or unit like health, status of what it is doing and so on shows only sometimes up, but it is mostly gone!
her is some information about my computer:
Windows xp professional Version 2002
Service pack 3
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.06GHz
512 MB of RAM
Ati Radeon 9200 Pro Graphics
everything runs very smoothly, even fast shooting games like Star wars republic commando and Starwars battlefront run without trouble. So what is wrong, is it my PC? Or is it the game or its settings?
please help because these problems are getting annoying.

There seems to be an illusive problem with Glest and ATI cards. Maybe this will help viewtopic.php?f=10&t=397&p=20311#p20311 (http://glest.org/glest_board/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=397&p=20311#p20311)

hi, guys, i will have a look at the other thread, by the way: I upgraded my ram memory from 512mb to 1gb, may be that helps too.
oh, one more thing, the first time i was playing glest, i was playing it on fedora 8, a linux distribution, and the game worked perfectly and everything was alright, than i tried it on another linux distribution called ubuntu, but on ubuntu i couldn't even start the game because of bugs and errors, well and on windows it doesn't really run smooth either (at least on my pc). maybe the makers of glest should have a look at fedoras system and see why it runs so well on it, and than make the game more stable and better for windows, too. (i am not the only one who has graphics problems)

for me it runs completly smooth on ubuntu using this installer:

If it doesn't work its indeed a graphics card (setup?)problem....
I'm using several nvidia cards and ubuntu 32 bit 8.04 and 6.06:
4200GT
6600GT
7600GT
8600GT
