Title: Info display bug
Post by: miniman36 on 7 May 2009, 06:21:10
Sometimes the white writing on the side of the screen under the name and picture of the selected unit isn't displayed. This includes; the resources needed to make something, whats being made, and whats on queue.

Any ideas as to whats going on?

This is the exact problem I was coming to post about.  Additionally, when the info is NOT displaying, a white line flashes near the top of the screen over the area that would have said info (goes too fast for me to grab a screenie).  I was thinking it might be connected to my widescreen resolution for no apparent reason at all (it just causes me havoc sometimes).  But I'm spanky new to this game so I actually have no clue.

All drivers updated on my five year old machine (try not to laugh at the specs).

XP Pro Service pack 3

AMD Semperon 2400
1.66 G
640 M ram (yeah I know)
Radeon 9200
Samsung 1440 X 900 monitor

Let me know if more helps and what.  I'm only a baby nerd.

When you post a bug can you also post the version you use and whether it is original Glest engine or GAE?

I'm using 3.2.2.  I double checked my video drivers because of the Catalyst problem detailed elsewhere on the site.  Tried updating again, rolling back, and a few earlier versions as well and the problem went unchanged.  Currently on version 8.252 of ATI drivers (minus Catalyst control center because I have no use for it). I have more time to troubleshoot about 12 hours from now.  Maybe then I can also figure out which version of the driver I started with.
