I would like to chalange wciow. When he wants and with what OS he wants.
I will host "island siege" , he will be player 2 and I will be player 3 (so if he knows that map, he knows where he should start).

This is probably not an absolute proof, but I am sure wciow agree that I won.

ElimNator resigned in the ladder. He removed his name in the register list. So I can't do my challenge. In private message he says has not an enough good connection.

I won the challenge, but this time I played bad, I had forgotten to make a farm ... but I won, Coldfusionstorm did some mistakes too ...

Yes that seems fair, It was my fault since I couldn't get my Glest capable computer on the net over the last couple of weekends.
Apologies to everyone, especially Coldfusionstorm.
I still hope to play some matches but I will have to set these up 'ad-hoc' when I'm online.

Hey everyone, i just registered in the ladder challenge and wanted to say a few things:
I just started playing Glest for linux; the game is good, but i doubt if it can be really competitive (i hope it is). I have some RTS background, so after i understood the basics (thank you Michel Hoffert for glest.110mb), i played a few games vs the AI, and after 4 or 5 games, i beat the computer every time and pretty much in every fashion. Thats why i`d like to play vs other people, not to win but just to improve, and learn how to play this game "right".
The ladder idea is great, let`s hope the modders can make a software based ladder in the future so kukak doesn`t have to do all this manually...
Please anyone who is running the Glest 3.2.2 in linux, and wanna play for the ladder, or just practice, work on strategies, refine build orders, discuss about the game mechanics, etc. feel free to challenge me via PM or here, and we can organize some games.
Oh, by the way, i play `magic´ and will have glest for windows when i can fix my broken pc (im on my sister´s laptop for now).

I suggest you to get/try out megaglest, since most people are using megaglest to play multiplayer....also that it "fixes" and "adds" stuff...check it out: https://forum.megaglest.org/index.php?topic=5311.0

And GAE (Glest Advanced Engine)... is still good...but I am pretty sure megaglest is better at least in terms of multiplayer... ::)
I hope you fix your windows pc... even though linux or ubuntu is probably better, there is no cross compatibly yet...(if linux-windows game, it will go out of sync) people are working on this...
Also...I don't think the ladder is active anymore...but you can still play regular multiplayer games by going to the irc to play with other people (How? Easiest Way: http://webchat.freenode.net/ Type a name for your nickname, and in channels type "#Glest" Or just glest and it will automatically fix it for you.

Yes, that is true. But it is better to change since MG fixes and improves multiplayer a lot...or atleast by some... ::)
Besides, most of the people participating in the ladder are ..."dead" or whatever...or they don't anymore/
Also, I remember Vanilla Glest multiplayer was kinda unstable. ::)

Yeah...but I think we are somewhat getting OT... somewhat should start a new thread of general multiplayer games...or if there is already one then... ::) anyways remember the best way to find people for multiplayer games is to go to the IRC... ::)
