Title: What a fight! Map "Wadi Nefud" is great!

This was a great game ( 1h 30min !! ) from me and my oldest son! I nearly died in the middle of the game, but my son came to help me in the last second. Really huge battles on ground and in the air! One of our best glest games ever!

I really recommend the map "Wadi Nefud" ! ( https://docs.megaglest.org/Maps )

for network: just get IP adress.
for internet: PortForward (Long, painfull process, but i did it :P) and get IP Adress

Our CPUs both use the same internet connection through a DSL modem..
And we know each computers specific IP address.....

Should work perfictly fine then. (if you arent on the same type (windows, linux, ect.) i hear there is a way to disable the check for it.)

Also, i would check (me and my brother, we get like 3 different IP adresses when we check, i have had to use 2/3 to get to his (sometimes it changes, idk why or how.), i think it is Run>(i think)IpConfig>(i think)Ipconfig/GetIP

Nope, checked before i posted, lucky you, it is Run>CMD>ipconfig

Wow, I had downloaded that map within the first few days it was released, but never really properly played it yet. Now if I can tear myself away from a copy of AoE2 that my friend gave me, I'll give it a try.

BTW: Which player are you? One or two? I'm just curious because I'm trying to figure out if you or your son is the better player! ;)

At one point I became so annoyed and frustrated about losing games on this map that I almost threw the mouse across the room. Haven't played on it since ;D

I think this is especially a big problem for new players! Its really frustrating to loose all the time. I think this is the reason why so little people are playing this nice free game.
But for me its fun  ;D ;D ;D!!!

I think I found a little problem with this map ideas. I will post them in the right place....

@omega: I was player one, but I was under fire all the time...

Heh. Still, that does look like a good game. I envy you, having someone to play with... Dial up sucks, and even if I had broadband, there's never anyone in the lobby...

I cannot defeat 3v1 CPU on this map. 1v1v1v1 yes!

Porcupine with towers, golems and a few archmage on the line. Evil dragon for the win.

STC5= surface texture custom 5 map build.

Egyptian faction are brutally_hard_to_kill_chain_nuke_crazy_aoe _splash_damage freaks.
