I tried using Height in Map Editor, but how can I make hills, mountains, something?
Thanks! ;)

There is no way to effectively have a "mountain", the best you can do is a small hill with the height.

You can make mountains easily. Look at the Glest Wikia.
https://docs.megaglest.org/Map_EditingThe toolbar defines the way the map is modified when left clicking on the map display.
Depending on the selected radio button, users may edit height, surface type, object type, resource type or starting points.
* Radius: The radius combo box is always available and indicates the number of cells modified when editing the map, a radius of one modifies only one cell, a higher radius modified more cells.
* Height: When height radio button is selected, users can alter the map surface height. (radius and height combo boxes modify the surface in different ways)
* Starting Points: Each player requires one starting point, this point is the map location where the initial buildings and units are placed. If there is not enough space at the starting point to place all units and buildings, an error will occur and the game will not load.
* Surface: When the surface radio button is selected, users can edit map surface type(s). Surface texture types vary between individual tilesets, but the default settings are:
o Surface: 1 - grass
o Surface: 2 - secondary grass
o Surface: 3 - road
o Surface: 4 - stone
o Surface: 5 - custom
* Object: When the object radio button is selected, users can place objects on the map cells. Objects depend on the tileset, but the default settings are:
o Object: 0 - undefined
+ undefined(true)
o Object: 1 - tree
+ walkable(false)-- blocking object -- wood resource type
o Object: 2 - dead tree
+ walkable(false)-- blocking object
o Object: 3 - stones
+ walkable(false)-- blocking object
o Object: 4 - bush
+ walkable(true)
o Object: 5 - water object
+ walkable(true)
o Object: 6 - dead tree
+ walkable(false) -- blocking object
o Object: 7 - Hanged/impaled/caged gallows
+ (random model placement) -- walkable(false) blocking object
o Object: 8 - obelisk/statue/broken statue
+ (random model placement) -- walkable(false) blocking object
o Object: 9 - large mossy rock/big stone
+ walkable(false) blocking object
o Object: 10 - Invisible object
+ walkable(false) blocking object
* Resource: When the resource radio button is selected, users can place resources on a map cell. Resource types depend on the tech tree selected, but the default settings are:
o custom: 0 - undefined
+ undefined
o Custom: 1 - gold
+ walkable(false) -- blocking object
o Custom: 2 - stone
+ walkable(false) -- blocking object
o Custom: 3 - undefined
+ undefined
o Custom: 4 - undefined
+ undefined
o Custom: 5 - undefined
+ undefined
* Note: Tech trees can use objects as resources. The difference is that 3d models for objects are defined on the tileset while resource 3d models are defined on the tech tree.
* Note: Undefined refers to the resource and object settings used in most user created faction and tileset modification files

You can't make a "mountain", only small hills.
Set the radius to 9 and the height to positive 5, click a bunch of times until you get the highest setting, that's still only a small hill.

I may need to educate you on what exactly constitutes a mountain or mountain range.

Behold! The Sutter Buttes. The smallest mountain range in the world. Yes, they look like hills, a Tibetan may even point and then laugh at these dinky mounds of rock and dirt, but nonetheless, the mighty Sutter's are indeed mountains!

This is a painting from another perspective but the buttes do in fact look like this from the eastern side.

I know what a mountain is, ok!
That map you made doesn't have mountains, those are small hills, a mountain is not 15-25 feet high! ::)
A good sized hill would be probably 50-150 feet high.

in the map ed go to the thingy thats advanced setting(or something) there it will say your height level set this to 2 if your on glest or 1 for gae (with zoom out) this will make the terrain changes drastic. use the custom 10 to make unwalkable cliffs and mountains
-
The map, Four Castles, is the only map with mountains...
Thanks! ;)
