Hi, i have to use a windows Visa laptop this week, and i was wondering, why doesn't the map editor work for Windows Visa, it works fine for my Windows XP computer, but it's at my dads.
Can someone please help? or can someone make one for Visa? Because i love making maps for other people (I have a topic in the map selection).

It won't work on "Visa" but it will work on "Vista". :D ::)
We'll need more info than it doesn't work, it works fine on my Mom's Windows Vista machine.

Good evough> it goes black (usualy white) and i cannot do anything, and if ou suggest anything, it would be nice if you get the link. (Ex. WINE, there is no download)
-
WINE is for Linux and MAC, not Windows! :D
Re-download, you know go through the usual steps. ::)

I found http://trac.wxwidgets.org/ticket/10168 . Try with aero enabled if it's disabled, looks like it already is though. I can't test anything because I don't have Vista.

The map editor works for the computer i am currently using (not the one you see in the picture), so i will have to continue using every other week unless i find a fix.
-
Works fine on my Vista. Try running it in compatibility mode with XP (right-click, properties, compatibility).

Try the map editor packaged in the mega-glest win32 binaries (doesn't require the VS2008 runtime) which may be part of the issue.

Thats wired because my friend uses it on a vista and i have played his maps all the time. Sorry i cant help you much but you should try to re download the tools pack.
-
I have vista laptop and a Windows XP computer but it works fine with both systems so maybe its something wrong with the computer itself does it usually work or has it worked before?
-
I think you should pick up the latest version of the glest-3.3.5-dev
