Hello,
I've been succesfully playing Glest for years without problems; now I've changed PC, and I have installed Glest 3.2.2 package, under Linux. I manage to start a game, but I can't see any minimap or resources indicator, and keys for shifting camera mode don't work. Any ideas?
I attach a screenshot and my glest.ini file.
Thanks for help,
Ocirne

Photomode is on. It shouldn't be. :)
-
Thanks, it worked! I don't know why I set that option on...
now, the only thing left is the following message, which I get when trying to set depth bits to 32 instead of 16:
Exception: Couldn't set video mode 1280x1024 (32bpp 1 stencil 32 depth-buffer). SDL Error is: Couldn't find matching GLX visual
Thanks for your help,

Well, put it back on 16. ::)
Your computer is saying that it can't handle 32 depth bits. ;)
-
Yes, with 16 bits it worked! But that's strange, if my Nvidia 250 GTS and my Core2 Quad 9400 can't handle 32 bits, which PC can?
Thanks for everything,
Ocirne

Mine can, I can go up to 32, I also tried setting it up to 652435234652 or something like that in my ini file, it ran, but the configurator said 16, so I put that on 32, and it still ran.
That graphics card sounds really old...
-
Actually, it comes straight from March 2009; :P :P :P
I however don't mind, graphics quality is incredible also at 16 bits.
Thanks,

No problem, happy Glesting.
