I don't know if I really have a favorite musical piece in Glest, but I'm rather fond of both Woodsmen and Egyptians.

Yeah, I guess. The main problem (or the cause) is that I wanted to talk about "regular music" not glest music, such as in your new thread...since that was this thread's original purpose. I changed the purpose of this thread to Glest music, since Eliminator posted Glest music... :|

The only problem is when it skips...it is really annoying... :thumbdown:

If he's been dead for that long, there's a good chance the copyright has expired, which means it's in the public domain. I'm not a reliable source on copyright law, though. :-[

But it should be okay.
I mean, unless if the copyright didn't expire by the time "if" "your" faction becomes popular, and Glest too.

Back on topic... I don't really listen much to the game's music. I have FX and ambient sounds on 'cause they're useful for gameplay but the music is usually very low or even silent! ;D

I liked some of the game music from the Final Fantasy games (oh, too many to point out individual pieces). Most final boss themes and of course, the Gilgamesh theme (Battle on Big Bridge from FFV) is one of the best. ;D

BTW, will still be a long time before I get to the sounds on the faction (only in 0.6 release, still a good while to go til 0.2 :P) but I did mention on the first post of the new release I'd like you to take a look at your music, because I feel it's lacking some continuum, like transitions between the tracks or possibly some sound (e.g. a drum beat) that would cross the whole list and give it some sense of continuity.

But actually, I think my favourite music may be the Elves' (too bad the faction itself is scr**d, the release I have actually crashes both vanilla Glest and GAE).

Sounds like awesome menu music! or during the initial few minutes while you are building ur base. Don't think I can have an epic battle with it though...
If i cant vote for my mods then my favorite is the music for Norsemen i cant explain why.. Its catchy...
I like the song from Military mod but it feels too calm/sad so it doesn't work for battles for me.
Tech music is ok. Fits the faction well but I just cant get into it.
I'm a metal fan so I love my Annex Music! Though i loved the soundtrack I used in Chasm more :P. To me music is so important. To me a terrible game can be fun if it has great music, and a great game would hurt with bad music.

Well, that's going to be hard to find with the right license. I think he had something similar to that before.
