Well titi said softcoder forgot to change the settings in the ini... (or something like that)
anyways the fix is that in your glest.ini, replace the link I guess ...

So I think he said to change the masterserver to...

Masterserver=http://209.52.70.192:61358/glest/cgi-bin/
So this should work, I guess  :|

What was weird was that in the original one, it was like this...so I tried to "fix" it...don't know if it will work or not because I can't test...right now  ::)
it was like this...
Quote
MaxLights=3Masterserver=http://soft-haus.com/glest/cgi-bin/
so I "entered" it, then changed the link...

Good Luck.  :)  :thumbup:

This is perhaps a good idea, I went to test!
I did a test, the result was not!

OK, well your best bet is to go to the IRC and "private chat" him, to tell him...
or just wait  ::)

No that problem is simply that titi added new items to menu.xml (which is included in the alpha2 binaries). Tom needs to extract all files in the data folder in the alpha binary archive.

Did you use the glest.ini supplied in the binary?

Ok I'm makingthe assumption its windows you're on? Try running from command line and see if any error is displayed?

hmm your ini looks fine. Just for sanity try the new alpha3 (just uploaded win32 and linux binaries):

http://soft-haus.com/glest/sf-files/megaglest3.3.5-alpha3_i386_win32_bin.7z (http://soft-haus.com/glest/sf-files/megaglest3.3.5-alpha3_i386_win32_bin.7z)

This version fixes a potential network threading issue that caused some crashes. Let me know if it works any better?
