Very nice, and thanks for mentioning our article too!

I have to apologize for the mis-information regarding the editor in the original version, it's fixed now. Thanks to the GAE team for the nice additions to the editor!

:thumbup: Yeah...soon I think.

Julius: Thanks for the interview and review.  :thumbup:

Anyways, thanks Softcoder and titi, finally  :O
I hope you got that issue fixed though...anyways yes, we can think about other features now...
One problem now, does this mean I have to download the whole installer again? If so...oh well.

Where is the release though where it is with out the data such as the megapack...etc.  :| oh well.

Thanks again, sweet. I guess all that testing came out to this finally.  :thumbup:

I was using the 3.3.5 beta version before, I downloaded just the data files (linux 32 bit, for kubuntu 10.04), and copied them in megaglest dir, but when I run the game it still says 3.3.5 beta 12.

The MegaGlest logo has changed a bit, so I think the game has been updated, not sure though. How can I check the version of game?

Update: Just found the info in other post, I tried running ./glest.bin --version to check game version but this is the error I got:
Code: [Select]
./glest.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libxerces-c.so.28: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directorThe games runs fine though (except for the fact that I haven't been able to see any games in 'internet' section).

Try this:

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH bin/glest.bin --version

Thanks

Try this:

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH bin/glest.bin --version

Thanks
Thanks, it worked, here is the output:
Code: [Select]
v3.3.5-beta12 built: Jun 24 2010 07:54:36 Compiled with GNUC: 40204, STREFLOP enabled.Does this mean update data files didn't actually updated my game?

Yep, you're using the newest data with the same beta executable.

The 'data' is just the tech-tree / factions / tilesets / maps / and menu/loading images.

You need the 'binaries' package (for your platform) from the first post too, that's the actual program.
