i have a simple but really important request: i wish you could see if a building stored a resource before you build it.
why?
do you know how many times ive placed a building near stone, only to find out that it can store wood? it would make placing buildings more than just a guessing game (especially if you dont know the mod).
can this be done?
-
Of course it can be done but is it really necessary?
i would suggest either a small indicator on the build icon to indicate that a certain unit will store a resource or that the player simply remembers which buildings store what after a few plays with the faction.
Sorry to sound negative, but coders have alot to do without being loaded with trivial stuff.

that is what tool tips are for

you really want to put all infos about a unit in a tooltip?
-
Maybe a brief customizable tooltip would be good. For example, when you hover over the "Train Guard" button, it might say something like "Heavy infantry, slow but strong", or whatever the XML dictates. For "Build Summoner's Guild", you'd have something like "Trains summoners and researches Ancient Summoning. Stores Wood." That would be a lot more useful, I think. Does that sound workable? The downside I can see to that is that it might give the player less incentive to experiment.

Hmm, almost anything can be done... A lot of probably hard though...

Anyways, I feel it is good to experiment... The guessing of what buildings store is like, a nice part of the game for me... Hmm, maybe if this is implemented make it optionable per game? But, then again, not much space left...

i hate experimenting, because im tired of not putting storage buildings near what they store.
and i like John.d.h's idea, improved tooltips are a plus!
