Have fun!

Too bad, I'll be busy at that time. Oh well. :-/
-
make a suggestion for the next multiplayer session ;)
-
Maybe...so would people use 3.3.7 or SVN head, as I thought we at least have that more than one server bug... :-/
-
ffs my MG download is finished in 3 hrs, due to the 10KB/s download...
-
I thought you had a really nice connection...or was this somewhere else
So how was it...nice? How many games, and how did they go.
-
It was really good! And there were again some new players!
We had a real mosterbattle 4vs4 all humas in the map tropical4vs4. You said it has too much gold ? No it has not all trees were chopped on one side of the battlefield and there really was not much gold left. Playing time was about 2 hours for this single match! My son won in the end using tech, also all his teammembers were either killed/crashed/disconnected due to network problems. So it was a 4 vs 1 battle in the end and !!!!!! he did it!!!!
I never saw so many battlemachines in my live, but they all had a red circle ......
So when do we shedule the next playing event?

Sounds great!

I don't remember ever saying that(maybe you're asking someone else? probably not)but what I do think of it is that while people can have fun playing that map (most maps can be fun though...)the problem with it is that the resources are just placed there...well, it's like all of mg maps really...
Anyways, probably not too much gold for a human vs human game, but for a human vs cpu game, it's a lot...
So when do we shedule the next playing event?
Don't know... maybe around the same time? Sounds like a good time for most people.
I'm usually busy that time but that's ok...

Yesterday i've hosted a game too. We were six human players in the lobby and two CPU opponents (2v2v2v2). But in the very first minutes of the game four players left. One left because his friend crashed out. Another one left because he had lunch. The next player left, i guess because of being on his own without a team member. So in the end, my brother and me were playing against the CPU team.
My brother and me were playing a second game, which ran quite smooth and stable for over 90 minutes.
-
I see, well, the second game sounds fun.

Is it possible to be a spectator without being a member of a team? I'd like to watch how coop matches develop over the course of a game - the rhythm and flow of unit movement and resource harvesting - and by doing so, maybe improve map design.
-
Yes its possible to spectate in games now! You're welcome to come take a look and test out the spectator code for bugs :)
-
Yes, but you would need the latest version of MG to observe...

We had a few 8 human player games today and it worked out well. Lots of fun and laughs. Come out and join the next multi-player session when it gets announced.
-
Yes, it was mostly fun. Too bad about the memory issues...
Next one same time tomorrow! Too bad I'll be busy.

I have done no such thing, and would prefer you would not make bland accusations. This is a problem which I warned about, but nobody actually listened to me about. When you edit an existing post that has been filtered, you are fed the filtered text, and if the editor does not revert them to the original word, saving that edit will make those filtered words part of the new document, and thus, they would not be removable automatically. I noticed that on at least one bug report after the removal of the word filters, and did my best to remove them as I saw, but missed one. It is not an error on my behalf, but on the editors, and why would you assume that I would edit a two week old topic to carry on some stupid, old joke? :bomb:
-
Well the italics did say it was edited by Omega on April 26. Where did you warn us? :|
I don't think I'm the one that made the bland accusation...
Unfortunately, it was poorly received, and all filters were slowly removed until all were finally removed. It is unlikely to resurface again.
Because of the poor reception, all filters were finally removed within two days, by the 28 April 2011.
