New Scenario Lord of the land:
Using MegaPack/MegaGlest I made a scenario, tell me what you think.
Description:You are a worker living in a village and you need to work your way up to be the Lord.
Requirements: The newest version of MG. (It may work with 3.4)

How do you get 50 gold? Did you test this before you released it?

Yes I did, try talking to the blacksmith....
Think: I can talk the some man in the barracks, why not try the smith?

It's not possible to "talk to him". Also I always get a lua error too.

Yes it is, just walk into the blacksmith shop and he will talk to you, What is the error and when do you get it?

He doesn't, and I do. I used v3.4 and SVN HEAD.

but at the end it said "get your men"
I walked to my men and suddenly there was a big army that attacks the enemy camp and if i arrived at my men they don't move? :look:
so i have to RUN on the fast way i can and ...

do they mean i have to get new mens from barracks?

When the lord said for you to get your men (Your men are in the barracks) you said to your self "I must not die!" so send your men but do not get killed your self.

In MG The new missions is AWESOME "Lord Of The Land" IS ONE OF THE GREATEST MISSIONS YET continue the AWESOME job :D
It works for me but after the worker wants me to kill his farm, i dont get 50 gp from him to become a knight, can you help me?
do i actually kill the farm or cow????

No, he says: You want some money? There is a Shepard hogging all the south-west pastures Go destroy his barn and Ill give you 50 gold.
So on on the mini map you go south-west (The line I made) and you will find this Shepard.

There was this part where you get to promote to a horsemen, but i got too close to the lord and the game suddenly paused and i was still a knight, can you help me?

So on on the mini map you go south-west (The line I made) and you will find this Shepard.

Instructions on what south-west is? Oh, god, this is Friday all over again... and we all know how that ended.

This scenario is a nice example of what's possible with MegaGlest. I'd like to see it included with MegaGlest by default. Unfortunately it currently (version 3.6.1-dev, revision 3212) has some bugs which would need to get ironed out first.
I think you always run into this one:

I guess the proper way to fix this nowadays would be to use faction links.
Then there are several logic flaws which can be triggered in different ways.
- Start the game, follow the path to the village, then turn north-west and follow the path. You will encounter two Norsemen archers who will attack you, so head back to the village. They will follow you and destroy the village buildings and kill the blacksmith. This breaks the scenario, you can no longer win, nor is there an announcement that you loose.
- Start the game, follow the path to the village, wait until the Norsemen spearmen attacking from south-east have been fought off by the blue teams' archer and swordman. Then turn south-east of the village and follow the path. You will encounter two more Norsemen spearmen who will attack you, so head back to the village. They will follow you and destroy the village buildings and kill the swordman. This breaks the scenario, you can no longer win, nor is there an announcement that you loose.
- Start the game, follow the path to the village, wait until the Norsemen spearmen attacking from south-east have been fought off by the blue teams' archer and swordman. Then turn south-east of the village and follow the path. You will encounter two more Norsemen spearmen who will attack you, so head back to the village, but don't head back to the center of the village but, after reaching the village, immediately turn north-east of it, where the two soldiers stand around, drawing the attackers along with you. They will follow you and be fought off by the soldiers who great you as a "filthy peasant". Right after you confirmed this message, a Lua error will occur:

There are a couple more ways to trigger either Lua errors or game states which make it impossible to win the game without getting notified about it. A coouple new ways to interact with the game from Lua have been added since this scenario was first developed by Eliminator, so my hope is that it is now possible to make it less error prone (but I'm really not into scenario scripting, so I couldn't tell)...

Thanks for the feedback, I fix thees bugs. I will need a lot more testing soon, me and tiger have almost completed 9 more scenarios as a Campaign mode for mega glest.

Unless this was an Aprils fools joke ;-) , I'm very much looking forward to test these. Scenarios are definitely an area where MegaGlest can benefit from more contributions, and Lord of the Land, although not perfect at the time, gives a good idea of how much was already possible back then. And I think that a bunch of new options for scripting scenarios have been added since, which could mean that those scenarios' you're making now will be more advanced, yet. :-) So I'm really looking forward to get my hands on them.

Good that this scenario would come along with megaglest, we need more scenarios, creating a scenario campaign mode, more scenarios and I'll do the translation of the Portuguese for this scenario. :P
