Hello. I'm new here.
I registered to say an idea I just got playing MG (but not related only to it). In OpenTTD you can, in the main menu, go to an online content section were you can download maps, AIs, graphics packs, ... Wouldn't it be good to be on your side (;D) to have the same thing in Glest/MG/GAE so you don't have to look further than the game to find add-ons?
(Sorry if I haven't explain myself good. I'm not a native English speaker)

This has been discussed a lot in the GAE and I think the MegaGlest feature requests and I think will eventually one day be added, I'm not sure if it's on trac or not. With GAE and MegaGlest now merging though, who knows what will happen :D!

As a matter of fact, Yggdrasil mention on the side in one of the GAE mailing lists that he is working on such a thing, and I have offered up the Glest Guide for hosting, which has a Mod Download Center, soon to get a major revamp.

Yeah, this was going to be in Megaglest too...although since the merge is going to happen now; I guess it'll happen after the merge or something.
-
Well, Megaglest already has an FTP thing for transferring from the host to the other players to account for map discrepancies, so it shouldn't be that much more difficult to transfer from a central server. I don't know the challenges involving the hosting, though.

It's implemented in MG now. Looks like Softcoder did a good job.
Now to add descriptions and upload everything on anything like dropbox...
