Reminds me of a game called "Toy Soldiers," it's a cool Tower Defense game that i got for my 360. it deals with model soldiers....

Historical Miniatures.
Indeed These miniatures are very good reference for making units 3D models.
I refered their pictures and boxarts when making some of my mod's soldiers.
