What are the default winning conditions? I was creating a faction, but it loses immediately.

The game is considered won when all team's with a different team number (AKA: all your enemies) have all buildings destroyed. So if you start a game with just a human player and no computer or network players, you would automatically be declared the winner, since there are no opposing buildings remaining.

You lose when you have no units with a "be-built" skill.  I had this same problem not long ago with one of my mods, because I never intended any construction to take place.  I gave the two starting units be-built skills, and it works fine.  The skills don't actually have to have any use whatsoever; they just have to exist.
