I downloaded MegaGlest. Very excited! It started well, but it was a little window in my 22" iMac, so I upped the size in the Options screen.
Not quite big enough, so I upped it again. I re-started, and now the game screen is bigger than the viewable screen. So I can't play! And I can't resize, because the 'Okay' button is below the viewable area.
I tried to set my display to different resolutions, but in none of them let me view 'okay.' The little green button that, on Macs, usually resizes the window is grayed-out.
I deleted the file and re-downloaded, and it's -still- too big for me to view!
Did I miss a preference somewhere? How can I fix this?
Thanks!

In your Megaglest directory, file a file called glest.ini . In this file contains lots of options, you need to find:
ScreenHeight=600
ScreenWidth=800
Your values would be diffferent, but find out your screens resolution if you don't know it already and change these values in the ini file accordingly. Hope this helps.

Also try to hit Alt-Enter to switch to full screen. Or set Windowed=0 in glestuser.ini (the same file Psychedelic_hands discussed above). This file should be located at /Users/username/.megaglest/glestuser.ini (replace username by your OS X username).
Please be aware that the leading dot in .megaglest marks this as a hidden directory, so it may not show up on Finder (but if that's the case then I bet Finder has an option to show hidden files and directories).
Edit: Clarify that I'm not entirely sure about the file location

Thanks so much for the replies! I only have one more question.
I download the file, and all I get is the application icon thingie, Megaglest. How do I _find_ my 'megaglest directory?'

I don't use Macs, and have no idea how they work, but the wiki article (https://docs.megaglest.org/MG/INI) says it should be /Users/[User name]/.megaglest.

Jaft: The problem is we don't have an OS X system available to test, and there is no one testing MegaGlest on OS X in general (help by someone who knows what a terminal is would be appreciated).
To (not) answer your question: Please search the web on how to "display hidden folders" in "OS X Finder". You should find several explanations. Once that's done, you can start a text editor and browse to the file. If the location I provided is correct then you need to click on your home folder (this is the one which displays with a small house icon next to it in finder), locate a folder ".megaglest" in it and in there you should find the file glestuser.ini.

Ah, gotcha! Many thanks, all!

I realize that the chance that anyone else will ever do again this is slim. However, just in case someone does, and finds this thread, this is how I fixed it: download Tinkertool for Mac. That'll show you your hidden preferences. Toss the folder. Download again. Ta da!
