Hi I wanted to introduce myself, I am victoj my first post here on the forum GAE team Lately I do translations portuguese for MegaGlest. Well I wanted to talk a little about the accents on GAE because it seems that there is no way to add them, I'm totally redoing the translation to Portuguese Brazil GAE to add an accent is just cause a mess in menu. Then wanted an improvement in this respect, thanks.  ;)

What do you mean accents aren't possible? I know there's definitely accents on some letters in the Spanish translation which work fine. Is the file saved as UTF8?

UTF8 is a text encoding, and is necessary for accents to be saved. I'm pretty sure MegaGlest has the same requirement. In Notepad++, in the encoding menu, choose "Encode in UTF-8" (the default is ANSI). Other programs should offer similar features, somewhere.

I am translating into Scottish Gaelic which also has accent, and it's working. Like Omega said, the files need the proper encoding.

I test on a Windows machine and for some reason it wants ANSI, so I have to convert the files to UTF-8 when I deliver them. You will have to experiment what you need on our computer for testing. Then, when you upload the finished translation, it always needs to be UTF-8.
