Title: Permission to use the icon
Post by: nockdown on 28 January 2013, 17:07:40
Hello

We work on Windows Package Manager (http://code.google.com/p/windows-package-manager/) released under GNU GPL license. It helps to find and install software, keep a system up-to-date and uninstall it if no longer necessary.

I'd like to ask for permission to copy the 'Glest' icon (http://glest.org/images/capitulares/g.gif) to Npackd web server and use it for 'Glest' package identifying icon.

Thank You

Evgeny

It's not necessary to ask permission. All of Glest's media is CC-BY-SA. So credit the author (which is probably already done if it's a package manager) and release the icon under the same license.

Also, you probably want to package MegaGlest (http://megaglest.org/), as Glest is no longer under development.
MegaGlest's media is also licensed CC-BY-SA
