Title: Internet Play
Post by: razing32 on 24 September 2017, 00:21:07
I just downloaded and wanted to play a quick internet game with friends versus AI
I cannot as I have to do a scenario to "prove" I can play multiplayer.

How can I skip this ?!

This is nonsense  >:(

There is an INI property (https://docs.megaglest.org/MG/INI) for this, but I forgot the exact name and value, you'd need to check on the source code.

Another way to 'hack' it is to play this quick scenario.  :P

Or to set InternetGamesAllowed=1 in glestuser.ini (https://docs.megaglest.org/MG/INI).

TI think anyone willing to spend the effort to dig up this forum post and to edit the ini file (instead of just playing this scenario) is also able to work around the scenario by other means. Plus it enables the legitimate use case razing32 discusses.
