The 'M' key can be used to open and close the travel map, when you click on some town you can walk there using the fast travel route, if it's built (not every town is ready yet) you can enter it and interact with npcs and get quests. Beside the start town just Radhal in the south has quests and a dungeon to explore. Dungeons still need work to make more of them. Sorry for the long latency from the last update i was focused writing a book based on the same word of the game. Enjoy.

Hello Omega, hello to you all guys. After i finished revising my second book, i'm working a bit on my rpg game again that uses some modified glest model, working on some magical weapon actually. I would need some help making female players models for the races (humans, dwarves, elves and half-orcs) or models for weapons. Deployed version 0.0.36, new start town Leas' Bones, regional map to travel the region added, new quests, by getting a quest at the thieves guild the entrance to sewers will be displayed and a npc will help you in your quest (it's not possible to end this quest yet is just to test the new features). Enjoy

Deployed version 0.0.33 cycle night day, weather change, new fighting system, automatic hunting (when prey flee the character follow it), 2 level of dungeon, new shops, 4 quests by shop owners (2nd one given asking for rumors). Waiting for comments and suggestions.

Hi GunChleoc, thanks for try it out, yes indeed the black is difficult to read i will change it, for the toolbar i already thought of adding it for the users that use touchscreens. I liked the almost clean screen but indeed is useful to have buttons to access the primary funtions, also because there will be also a spells screen and an abilities screen in the near future.

Hello, since the mmorpg project is a long way i decided to split the work and make different steps.
1st developing a single player rogelike gdr and after that is done develop it in mmorpg
For the first stage you can see the actual develpoing stage here http://playcanv.as/p/rjC13fWv i'm using the models i made for glest some years ago and some new one. I would like to have some feedback and some suggestion from you guys. I also need some help with texutes (since it's the same models on glest shouldn't be difficult for some of the mods artists. Also lowpoly models for enemies are welcome. If someone is interested just email me i can provide also some model to use as base.
In game Keys I for inventory Q for quests C for character info SHIFT to keep the player still while fighting CTRL to run when clicking around RIGHT CLICK to interact in shops. The dungeon is inside the temple at the top left corner of the village.
The game use WebGL and works in browser...i hope on every OS :D
PS the camera is still a bit weird but i will make it better in next updates.

yes Ishmaru i have checked the opengameart.org and found a pine tree, now i'm looking for other trees and grass that will look nice in the game, will try to change the textures of the pine to put some snow over it :D
Learning javascript is the most difficult part of making the mmorpg, i want to make it similar to baldur's gate, with a travel map where you reach the towns and the dungeons to solve quests, and will need lot of graphic too... my skills with 3ds are rusty and have to learn again some things because phisic modifier isn't exported in fbx so i have to use the skin modifier and that make me loose lot of time. Learning to use Blender is not fast as well lol
If anyone want help is more than welcome :D

Hello Omega,
i know this problem very well, i have worked for about 7 yrs develpoing the mmorpg on php, you can see it at www.lostinn.com/kallen, (some function does not work coz i was updating it and not deployed final version), now i would like to continue the developing adding 3d graphic, the main problem is the interaction php/javascript(playcanvas). In the years i have developed the php version i have been contacted by many ppl wanting to help...but in the end they just wanted me to develop it faster without helping at all.
I know i need a server side and a client side, unluckly most of the mysql servers prevent remote access, so i was thinking of 2 solutions, use the php/mysql server as base and javascript in remote, or transfer all the mysql archive on my own pc using it as server (at office is always turned on).
Your suggestion to work on a single player game is also nice something like baldurs gate or diablo in single player.
The code works, but just on edge or IE, i am learning how to modify it to get it work on firefox.
I have already thought of giving up if i will not able to find some coder to help me coz the work will be too long, but i'm stubborn enough to know that i will never give up also if i say that lol
My previsions are that a lone man work will last around 2 yrs before reach a playable scratch version, in the same amount of time 3 ppl will reach almost the complete version and start to work on the shop to sell sets of armors or special items.
As you can see i already faced all the hardship you was talking about and know that my project can go nowhere if it's just me. But i'm a dreamer ;)

Hello everybody, this is a strange request but maybe someone can be interested, i'm trying to make a mmorpg using playcanvas, i will use as base the models that i did some year ago for glest, but the actual challenge is the code, is anyone with decent javascript knowledge interested to help develop this project? Sorry, my question was not clear at all, i tryed to use diferent kinds of format models on webgl, and noone wanted to import the meshes, so i'm starting to try use blender, but is a bit hard to do, now i've found in the web that obj format want in the same directory of file obj and mtl also the texture file (don't now if jpg or other format) is that correct? But seems that obj don't include animation is that also correct? So the only format that include animation seems to be collada. But collada models exported by 3dsmax don't work properly. So in the end i have to use blender for export collada models ... and i'm not able to do it :D
Seems i'm in a stall position.  :'(
Any clue?
I know i make troublesome and complicated questions  ;D

Hello Omega and thx a lot for the reply, yea after posting i found that obj don't support animations, i figured to use the js format, now i will look at the md2 exporter, it would be nice if the g3d could be used for webgl as well lol
Anyway i'm trying to take rid of this problems. I want try to do it coz of a game that i saw drakensang, have u seen it?

Hello everybody, i know i was disapared for long time and now i'm back asking for help.
I haven't modeled for about 2 yrs and i'm trying to learn about webgl, when i export a model from 3ds max in obj or js i have a model without textures and without animations. So also if i'm able to use it in webgl is useless.
My questions are... can i export an animation in obj format? and the texture? if the answer is yes..can someone send me 1 model for try it in webgl?
If someone use 3ds max can explain me how to export it in 3ds coz seems the export to obj don't work as expected.

Hello everyone... i missed for long time... how's everyone doing?
Well my question is a bit tecnical, does everyone know anything about webgl and 3d graphic into browsers? It seems that is supported by chrome and firefox 4 but i've tryed it without success, maybe i'm at fault somewhere but i would like to try it and i will not give up so easly.... someone can help with some hint?
