That answers my question. Thanks.

It seems I phrased the question poorly. The question is "Can a ranged unit like an archer be give commands to cause it to quickly alternate moving and firing, allowing it to advance on fleeing units or kite chasing units without losing much dps?"

Is it possible to stutter step with ranged units? It seems to me that the time it takes for them to perform the startup animation is too long, but I may be mistaken. To be clear, I am talking about stutter stepping with the purpose being to move without losing dps, like in Starcraft 2 with marines, rather than to increase dps, like in Vainglory with cooldown animation cancels.

Yes, exactly! I come from a background of rts games in which stuff is hotkeyed like that, which I have gotten a bit spoiled by. It allows for much faster actions in my experience.

MegaGlest / Archmage Strategy
« on: 25 January 2016, 21:47:42 »
I've been playing against the AI trying to learn how to play different races. One difficulty I had with magic is that I found it difficult to use archmages. They are fragile, so they require tanks, but their friendly fire reduces the effectiveness of ghost armors that I put in front of them. Do I just need to improve my micro or is their a strategy that I am missing.

Changed the brightness in the game menu. My bad for not trying that first. I can now see units at night. If you still care, I believe it is Megaglest 3.1.1.

I changed the tileset, which helped a little. Still having difficulty. Amusingly, building a campfire helps the most. Maintepees also seem to provide illumination. My screen brightness is as high as possible. Is there a brightness setting in the game. Thanks for the help.

Thanks! I was already aware of most of that. Basically, I would like to be able to do what you are suggesting, but without needing to move my mouse. If this is difficult to implement or nobody else wants it too, then that's fine. I was hoping to get an idea of whether others wanted this feature and if it could be easily implemented.

Feature requests / Hotkey/Keybind Production and Commands

I would like more hotkeys. Specifically, I would like to be able to bind the different units buildings can produce to hotkeys. Example: I select my Main Tepee and press q, adding a worker to the queue. I would also like to be able to do similar things with units skills, such as pressing b to access the build menu, then another key to chose the building.

MegaGlest / Unable to see units during night.
« on: 25 January 2016, 03:11:46 »
Hi. I just downloaded MegaGlest and I have been mucking around against the AI. It is surprisingly well made for a free game. However, I cannot see my units during "night". It is not just that it is more difficult to see them–rather, I can barely see units and terrain at all, making it very difficult to play. Is this an intended feature or a bug? I am playing on a Mac with OS 10.9.5 and I have the screen at maximum brightness.

P. S. I apologize if this is in the wrong forum.
