if you want i could upload one of the engines ive downloaded?
that way you dont need  the stupid download keys, and the 1 hour wait.

 engine specs.

quake 2
multiplay
come in exe format, so no compiling needed


quake 3
comes in binary format
compiling needed

source engine ( used in half life 2)

im not sure of the specs.....

there is the quake engines, and maybe you could mod nexiuz... im not sure, but the thought of makin a mmorpg out of glest is...well..peculiar.

id recommend the quake 3 engine because the source is free and downloadable ( it was realeased)
and it supports multiplayer, and the graphics are good.

also i had tried to make an fps based on glest, it didnt turn out to well.
anyway good luck with the project.

if i was you i would use a FPS engine, it is more versatle than using the glest engine.

the engine is open source and under the GPL the 2d graphics and sprites along with the models and skins are "not" lecenced for your own use under your own "supposed" creation.

We must create a new ressource like housing but it should be invisible. then we must be able to set its value after the god died... you could start with ressource = 1 and if the produced god dies (or just when he is produced) this ressource value is needed (and afterwards its =0).

I think this is the best solution till now.

the program strats says blender 2.43 windows shows the kid underwater, i get an error message "blender has found an error in blender.exe." "abnormal program termination"

and have them have food but i dont think viking cared about food or horses, but i think they liked mutton(pig meat)!

Ok, most of them i never use. But i also know Anim8bor which you use and it also has weak points. For example the texturing (uv-creation is difficult) and animation (but it works), since the viewing is difficult. Also some control issues...

But, well we should keep as many possibilitys open as possible.
I wills send you a 3ds later, need some time ;) You would prefer a viking-style, am i right ?

for viking units,

have the norse god Odin as the best unit kindof like a daemon_giant,
for units you can have

bards(mage summons birds to use for scouting)
berserker(armored swordman basically)
a thrall was a viking slave so make it a worker,
they had warchiefs so make that what a unit gets when it gets 8 kills and when it gets 12 make it a battlemaster!

i'll do some XML and maybe post an early screen?


also we should do Jotuns " a race of mystacle trools in Norse legends"

As you can probably see from this screen, i'm okay at modelling bugs, but i need some help modeling "humans" for the soldiers, i'm okay at vehicles, but i hate modeling humans.

thanks, but please make it in 3ds format cause i dont have blender, and blender doesn't work on my computer.

i'm also working on a wasteland tileset.

also with the level there are a few problems,
1 all the units are imputted(2 archers, 2 armored swordman, 1 technicia)
2 the AI can run up and kill you without you being able to hide
3 there is no town center, so You lose is displayed
4 is it possibe to make it tech with a statue the magic want?
5 statue would be town center
6 the technician, is having particle trouble

lol just copy the magitech folder and rename it magitech_infinite_resources,
edit the XML values in the wood, gold, and stone folders, and you have larger amounts of resources
