Yes, rain, water and fog can be turned off, and for a 2D background you will have to use a camera oriented plane.

For version 0.8 we are working on a new main menu background. Now any 3D model can be used as the menu background, and camera positions and other options, can be changed by editing an xml file.

Gracias por la informacio-n, se nota que te has tomado tu tiempo, y te lo agradecemos, de todas formas el probema que nos comentas es raro, porque habitualmente cuando no se soporta una frecuencia de refresco te deberia saltar una pantalla diciendotelo, lo mismo pasa con las extensiones y versiones de opengl, cuando tu tarjeta no soporta una version/estension el juego te dice exactamente cual es el problema.

I also like attack-move commands, but I use to issue them with the menu, that's the reason I didn't implement hotkeys, but of course I know they are very useful, and I should implement them soon. The problem here is that many keys are already used for other purposes: 'asdw' rotates the camera 'p' pauses the game, etc ... , I will have to think on something to solve this problem...

By the way I have already implemented scroll with arrow keys, next version will have it enabled.

G3D is a binary format, so you can't open it with notepad. The only way of creating G3D files is exporting them from 3dsmax using the G3D export plugin included in the editor pack. To view them use the G3D viewer also included.

We are working on a new feature for version 0.8 called cell maps. Each unit can have a 2D matrix of cells that indicates what cells does the unit ocupy in the map, this allows units to pass through building gates and produced units to exit from buildings by foot instead of appearing suddenly.

Thanx for your suggestions, we will add some of them in the next version, others such as multiplayer will have to wait more. Just tell you that you can change the display color by pressing 'c', to see it better in snowy tilesets.

Library and Archmage Tower can be built with Initiates, the basic unit from the mage tower. However tech tree will totally change in next version, we are  working on two different factions.

Nvidia cards have very good OpenGL support, so if you download the latest video card drivers you will be able to play Glest without problems. Please do so and tell us if it works.
