Tools / Re: Heightmap Exporter/Import (for gbm / mgm)
« on: 23 May 2012, 16:52:57 »
I guess this tool http://www.earthsculptor.com/  could be quite interesting for some mappers. It is free and has a heightmap exporter. In combination with your tool, you can certainly create some pretty good maps. (Works with Wine under Linux.)

3. Can someone post a download link for the woodsman mod? (The download links in the topic dont work...)

Thanks!

I hope there are no problems when I upload this here, this mod is not my work.  :|
Got it from source here in the forum, put together.
Load it to you, and unpack it into your techs folder in the installation directory. (or when you use linux in [username]/.megaglest/techs ) If you want to share it with others (when you host a game), let the zipped file into this folder. That's all. Have fun with it.  ;D

It looks as if you are in the export G3D file (in blender), in edit mode and not in the object mode were. (I may be wrong too.  :| )
Did your blender file with tga to export G3D.

Here are 3 maps of times myself. 2 maps for 6 players and a map for 8 player.

here the "Loggerheads"          2-6 player or 1-3 vs. CPU           128x64     download: http://www.sendspace.com/file/v49ojs

here the "Swamp of hope"      2-6 player or 1-3 vs. CPU           128x64     download: http://www.sendspace.com/file/byw720

here the "Flankenangriff"     2-8 player or 1-4 vs. CPU         128x64     download:  http://www.sendspace.com/file/j9ger0
(This map I have renamed and slightly modified. Was before the "Another_Riverside_a3". Does "Flankenangriff" now.)

All maps are available under CC0.

Have fun playing / testing.   :)

Great model! Is it animated?
Does it have Construction and Destruction models?
Adding to first post...

No, this is not animated. Have no model construction and destruction. I may make the look but still, sometimes.  :|

I am help with animation if you want, that's my strongest area. Also if it relates to your mod you could use the Spearman I posted. :)

Added Stoneyard to first post.

You mean something like this: http://i41.tinypic.com/34479lz.jpg  :)

Looks nice.
btw What is this model originally made for?
Are you making a tileset or mod too?

Thank Hagekura, I'm pleased :) you like it.
Yes, you're right. Is a model of the mod I'm working on. Is far from finished, however. (My animation skills are still quite low.)
Maybe I'll do the mod, not finished. I know, not quite. If, by now, just an idea.

Feature requests / Re: Mouse for left-handers
« on: 18 February 2012, 17:10:42 »
I wrote to ask for a friend of mine, he uses KDE as the GUI and work there, despite conversion to left-handedness, right-handed Megaglest only. Is therefore probably a KDE bug. I tried it with XFCE and there Megaglest worked with left-handed mouse setting. Ok, then this feature is of course redundant. Sorry. Thank you Omega.

Feature requests / [no need] Mouse for left-handers
« on: 17 February 2012, 14:13:21 »
A possibly important feature I think would be the ability to move the mouse to left-handedness can be (approximately 10-15% of the world's population are left handed in younger due to the re-education that no longer exists, probably even up to 50%). That would certainly attract more players.

I can not offer any solution.
