Tools / [Request] .b3d/.x/.3ds/.mds File Format of Glest Models
« on: 2 October 2012, 02:14:54 »
Ok, I'm gonna be straight up on how I lack the 3D modeling skills. I just suck. Done.
Next step, I'm gonna be lazy and ask someone else to export the Glest Models as .3ds file format.

If anyone does, I give credit for my mod project.

Okay, I started it on a doom forum.

I don't know how to use Python and the OP's user is not available for the long run. I decide to update my video adapter driver and switch that on, lol. The .g3d viewer (and game) works once more :).

@Darrellenior, thanks for the formal translation.

@Mr War, I plan to make a stand-alone mod for the doom engine. I chose the doom engine b/c of its popularity. The models will most likely be toned down into sprites, but that should leave more work for the maps and etc.

Help, I tried to make animated thumbnails out of .g3d models (different angles included), but I can't make out of the commands or something. This is true for "python g3d_thumb.py "D:\...[path-to-g3d-model]". Are the file formats supposed to be .g3d (I got .megagle)? Can someone make a image tutorial so I can easy follow?
