Hi guys, i decided to continue my mod, but i just noticed that the g3d exporter script doesnt work in the 2.8 blender version. Is there a way to fix it, or the script needs updating ? i cant downgrade blender without downgrading the many many library and dependencies or whatever (im not expert) i tried to downgrade it, but it keeps crashing. any ideas ?

Mods / [question] Custom mod does not work in network game

Hello!

I have made a custom tech and a pack for it. It works just as intended, everything is all right, except me and my friend cant play it in network game. I have sent it to her, she downloaded, placed it in the mods folder just like i did, and in singleplayer everything works just fine. but when i go to an internet game, chose the tech pack, and when she joins on the server (one of the public ones) for some reason, it switches back to something default like the megapack, or sometimes a previusly chosed mod of mine which she doesnt even own. Why it does that ? how can i fix this issue ?
(we tried to put it near the core techs, near the mods, rename it, etc. each time it worked in singleplayer, but does this weird swap back in network game)

MegaGlest / GAE features

Ahoy there!

I saw a lots of awesome features of GAE. and i also saw, that its abandoned now :/ i dont know a lot about how this works, but why GAE isnt merged into MG or something ? at least thoese simple things like "generate" and fields: any_water and a few more stuff. thoese are awesome features, and i want them in MG! :D
in my opinion theese changes, could cause mayor changes in gameplay in a better way! the old style will stay, but with a lot of extras like boats that carry people, or markets (market is still possible, but its quite odd) and a lot more that dephends on imagination! the game may become ewen more popular. i would realy like to help in this, but im a wery starter at programming.

i hope we will find a solution!

Tools / problem with rendering g3d files

i have a problem with rendering. i followed the instructions on the wiki, and it gave me this error:first texture slot in first material isn't of type IMAGE or it's not unwrapped, texture ignored
i saw that others had this problem, but i never saw an answer to my problem. they only said that we need to add a material. well, i did so, in several ways for example with cycles render, blender render, texture via material, texture near metarial, used UV editing , unwarped it, and so on that i learned from tutorials. bun none of them worked for me, it keeps giving me this error abowe.
PLEASE HELP ME! im totally out of ideas what to do to fix it :DDDD

hello guys!

someone asked me to ask my questin here, so i did:
i can't reach the glest-guide from the wiki link and any other link. but i still would like to know how to modell for glest/megaglest.
can someone help me find the page, or just tell me the basics, like what size it has to be, how to render it in g3d, and etc. (with blender of course)
i made my mod alrerady by using other modells, but i would like to make more!
