And Titi, I downloaded that a long time ago, but I don't know what to do with it... (instructions need to be more detailed, why not include a pdf with images?)

Also Titi, could you please upload your converter? (Email or upload to a filehosting site like mediafire)

Thanks.

If you need help allowing units to get into the coutyard, I can do that. It must be done in the xmls. Do you want me to do it for you?

Don't worry about the graphics. Colour the TGAs with Photoshop or Paint.NET in whatever colours you want. This will directly change the model (make a copy of the faction for editing)

The outlines of mine are stickied in general discussion, use them to know what affects what.  :D

IDK, I'm personally hoping to see them as their own faction or for them to be implimented in the magitech.

BTW, Wciow, I used your bear model in the ancient techtree. You have been added to the credits. Anyone else who helped create the bear tell me so I can add you to the credits too. (the bear is now called the hell bear, sports a powerful attack and a spell called Hellhound)

Thats because copying from the wikia doesn't give you the tabs.

Observe the tabs in the wikia and add them manually.

1. Don't agree with the log on screen, but like the lobby
2. Maybe
3. why? It has stuff on the side (HP, 15% etc)
4. Play in windowed, you use your normal mouse at normal speed as a guide and its more accurate.
5. Agreed on that one brother!

I cannot get glest 0.2.7 to work. I tried 0.2.5 as well, but it won't work. The crash log says: (two examples)

But scenarios are too boring. The point of the campaign is to be new and exciting. Maybe having to kill all of a certain unit or something.

I opened it in notepad, but couldn't find the lines. Can someone just upoad the compiled version? I'd apreciate that. And why is the file not compiled in the downloads page in the first place?

I'm not worried about the difficulty of the models, since I now have a sweet new model. I would like to convert it hough. Can you upload the converter you use (because the new version needs to be properly cmpiled and thats not my strong point) Anyway, if you want to see my new model in blend format, ask and I'll upload it.

Its as it says, you don't have the same information as the other guy. I used to get that a lot. I reinstalled glest in a different folder. This may need to be done if you have modded or downloaded other things for glest. The new version should be multiplayer only and you should not touch the factions or mod it in any way.

Also, make sure you're playing linux vs linux, as that works best.

To answer your quetion orion, I find that Paint.NET is quite good and much easier to use than Gimp. (not sure about photoshop) It can turn a picture into a sketch, painting, or ink (looks like a comic style) drawing. It can use couds to make negative effects with its difference cloud, or a neat effect (not sure how to describe it) with its Xor cloud. It has a number of colours, and the alpha can be applied with the eraser.

This isnt necessary. In regular glest, once a unit(s) selected, left click n the map. This will go to that place on the map. Now move once there. It works, not as good, but it is good for people who either have no time to compile this , don't want to, or can't.

truth is, I did make a few models now. BUT, I still cant get the converter to work. Could someone upload a working version of there converter (because I still arent very good at compiling or whatever I have to do to get it to work) If they can, I'd appreciate that.

Are they ever gonna fix up the colours and maybe add on those subtractive ones?

how do I change those parts? I'm new to c++ (but starting to learn) I think I need some sort of compiler, since the microsoft visual folder in my computer is empty (?)

If you wanted all of this, it would most likely have to be for the GAE because of the land to ground unit.
The dead tree is a good idea, and if someone could animate it, it would able to attack. unfortunately, multiplayer only is a bad idea, since the other person would have to download the exact replica. But the dead tree wouldn't work against computers.

I can help in a number of subjects including 2D art (But NOT 3D or animated) and xmls. If you need to make your own faction, you ned to make xmls, so check out my xml guide in the 'Free Outines Available for All' topic. It will help you make your own faction/unit/resource/etc; If you want to learn how to play the game, I found that the best way to do it is by first playing the 'Easy Day' scenario. Once you win, do not exit the game. Instead, stick around and build more units till you really get the hang of it. Then attack all your allies (thats kinda cruel now that I think of it...) they wont attack back, but it'll be a start for learning attacks. Later, just play normal games against the computer. Eventually, you'll get better.

Do visit the wiki for help with stuff like controls and strategies.

Hope this helps!  :O

There's a way to have pets in magic (by pets, I mean units that are summoned and die when the owner or summoner dies. These are from the GAE, but I'm curious if anything in the GAE is also possible in original glest)
