Right click on a resource when you select a worker rather than left click. Right click performs a command. If you click an empty place, you will move. If you click an enemy, you will attack.

I played some games were the cpu just stood there. It sent the basic starting units to attack me, then did nothing. I ended up with a game saying the computer had no resources mined, no units made, and nothing else.

It's back to normal now, but could anyone explain how it happened?

I've never seen that before. Can you tell me your computer's specs (RAM, CPU, type, etc;)

It may depend on what you are loading, though I've never seen it that slow. The original magitech takes about 8 seconds for me on a laptop running vista home premium.

It might be the central processing unit (cpu) which is in your case, intel. Are all your applications closed?

Ok, it is getting closer to being ready for release. However, I still need a sphere and a matching TGA file for the elements. There is no way for me to release the tech tree until then.

Ok, I have now made a pdf for all the units, and the models are mostly done. Check back a little later for the pdf!

This is for the Ancient Tech Tree, which includes the new church and hellfire factions.

This is a list of units, designated for model makers so they have a slight description of the units.

CHURCH FACTION:
~altar    -  Makes prayer, the equilivent of energy
~bishop   - Powerful mage unit
~chapel   - Like the 'castle' of the church faction
~godwyrm   - A large, holy dragon
~hells_curse   -  A tower which shoots black projectiles at foes
~holy_element  - A element of the purest light
~holy_one   - A large foe which hurls balls of light
~hospital    -  A healing center
~other_worldly_beast    - A large foe from another world
~paladin    - A soldier cloaked in holy armor
~pope     - One step up from the bishop and the most powerful spellcaster
~portal  - A portal which creates warriors and paladins
~priest   - The 'worker' of the church faction
~research_hall   -  A hall dedictated to researching upgrades
~warrior_of_light    -  The basic warrior of the faction
~worship_hall   - A hall for summoning godwyrm, other_worldlies, and
                          holy ones

HELLFIRE FACTION:
~blood_element  -  A rank 2 element (colour=blood red)
~chaos_element   - A rank 4 element (colour=black and red)
~death_element  - A rank 3 element (colour=negative)
~demon   -  A demon. This is hell after all
~elemental_research_station  - A center for researching elements
~fire element   - A rank 1 element (Colour=fire red)-rank one is weakest
~hells_guild - a basic unit creation building. Build out of blazing fire
~keep  - The basic 'castle' of the Hellfire faction. (Colour=negative)
~lord  - The advanced spell caster- Lord of the underworld
~minion   - The basic fighter
~necromancer  - An undead warrior (eye colour= Bright green, no pupils)
~necromancer_tower - Spawns necromancers,spooky look,green opening
~poacher  - An archer for basic ranging
~shadow_source   - Pallet swap of the altar
~shadow_valkrie   - A evil woman(undead)on a dark steed(can be drake)
~shadow_wyrm - A black, powerful dragon with bloody claws and fangs
~slave  - the 'worker' of the hellfire faction

*Dont know what colour is negative? Check out my version of the keep!


I'll add a skeleton to hellfire and angel to church if I recieve models.

If you want to win with magic, have like 10 people mining gold and spawn as many demons as you can while upgrading and building buildings at the same time. Once you can summon dragons, its your time to shine. Also, try to get Behemoths and DON'T waste your time on golems.

Increase the costs of demons and slow down the enemies rate of mining gold. Also, reduce the amount they start with. If you need any help doing this, email me and I have some xml outlines.

Though if you're experienced, you can just fight like a man. build a farm and barracks before mining, then spawn archers and (eventually) horsemen. The archers should be able to hold of the daemons fairly well if theres a lot of them. And once you have horsemen, you can really dish out pain.

Does ANYONE know how to work the blender exporter scripts???

I downloaded all of them, and put the py (python) scripts in the python zip folder of Blender. Is there anything else that needs to be done? Do I have to unzip the folder (NOTE: It installed as a zip folder, so it may need to be that way)

Any help is apreciated!

I have blender, and I did make a circle. But after looking at export options, there is no G3D or TGA option. I downloaded every kind of exporter and importer from the download page of glest.org, but how do I properly install it? I think I goofed somewhere there. Could you (or someone else) explain how?

EDIT// I should also mention its the converter and stuff that dont work. (I also dont know how to run the scripts, but I'm learning)

I need a simple sphere roughly the height of an airship. It needs to come with a tga texture, though there is no need for colour. I imagine this isnt too difficult, and I need this for a faction I'm making. You will recieve credit.

Except that you cant be moving all the time (or how would you attack) but if that is the problem, use ghost armors and behemoths. (Good idea: mod the golem - thats what I did and it actually makes it useful!)

You need to save the gbm file to the folder named maps. This folder is located (usually) in computer --> Program Files --> Glest (usually somthing like Glest_3.1.2) and the maps folder is there.

Now run the glest game and the map should be available.

I have no experience in animating or 3D model making. However, if you have some skill, any help is apreciated. On the bright side, the elements (holy for the church faction, blood, death, fire & chaos for the hellfire) are all going to be custom made.

Need a simple sphere (don't ask why) that is as roughly the size of an airship in height. It needs to come with a tga texture (though I dont need any colour or detail) You WILL receive credit and I can imagine that it is not too hard of a project.

I cant figure out how to get the export script working in blender, so thats why I need it!

I dont know much about 3DS max, you should try blender or get a TGA customizer (perfered Paint.NET) and change how pre-made units look.
