Paladin? Great idea!

Also, I now have

~altar - source of prayer (the equilivent of energy)

~Bishop - A strong spell caster (yes, he has godspells)

~Unknown One - I dont know what this is, some terrifying god I think.

~warrior of light - a medium strength warrior that has a few simple spells

~chapel - the main building which spawns a few of the units

~paladin (former name:heavens guard) a powerful unit cloaked in holy armor.


BTW, I have to introduce the fact that this is going to form its own tech tree. The tech tree will include another faction called Hellfire. There will be some new armor/attack types (holy, shadow, etc;) and new resources (prayer and herbs) A tileset will also be introduced with this.

Hopefully everyone can enjoy either playing as the good guys (holy) or the baddies (shadow & undead)

Oh, and I should mention for the shadow guys, I have made a necromancers tower and successfully got it to work!

I dont have elves or undead, but if you want to try holy powers and arch angels, I recommend checking out my church faction. It's still in the development stages, but if you have any ideas...

If you want to make tech weak, you should mod the worker and reduce the rate of mining/harvesting resources. Also, by making the workers cost more, this can slow them down quite well!

Since I'm making the new church faction, and I have no skill in making models, let me ask you all a question... if you had the option of helping someone make a new faction, and you WOULD recieve credit, as well as you would be making interesting (or at least new) models, would you help?

EDIT// This topic was too biased on the church faction. To date, there is now a whole mod pack and it has its own factions (church, hellfire, and now OMEGA) as well as scenarios. Tutorials (requires glest 3.2 beta 1) are also included.

0.9.1 - More testing required to look for bugs. Need model for the elements (fire, blood, death, chaos, holy)
0.8.0- bishops attack downscaled. Decreased necromancers spawn speed and added a magic attack for them. Fixed colours of projectiles. Increased spawn rate of lords.
0.7.2 - Played some games, fixed some bugs.
0.5.2 - Hellfire faction complete. Some models are temporary.
0.4.0 - Hellfire faction started. XMLS for some units and models created.
0.3.1 - church faction complete. Some models are temporary
0.3.0 - Doing lots of work... Still can use models
0.2.3 - XMLs created for some units. Models made, but most are temporary.
0.1.0 - Gathered ideas. Need help making models

I get all my workers getting resources, and make a farm, blacksmith, and barracks. I make a lot of archers and horsemen. I find that works. Then, after a good defense has been established, I make airships for the offense!

The reason that magic seems stronger is because it takes longer to get into producing powerful units. Dragons aren't bad, but they'll fall fast to an army of archers...
