by the way i have a linux you can just download it and use wine to run it nothing more to it than that

1) download (zip) from site

2)click save file(to desktop)

3)open with ark and extract all to desktop

4)then just double click on the map.exe(in a couple of folders)

at least that's how it worked for me

dude i think that necromancers would be like battlemages and there could be like a tomb building so someone doesn't have to summon them;in fact a person could be modeled standing by the tomb and summoning them instead of the necromancer

i would agree with modman and mictes cause in elves it's a different resource structure and i don't think the AI know how to handle that.

well i hear you need more ranged units i'll make my suggestions(i read most of this thread i hope i have all new ideas):

Axe thrower or variation on that
rock thrower
rock dropper(air)
 
and maybe i'll mentions a few other things like major units:

ancient myth (wyvern[they don't fly by the way, snake like with two short fore arms, with kind of like an icy beam breath])
cyclops legionaire(you know muscular, one eye, huge, huge hammer for weapon)

i hope my suggestions help

well you know since you have to download glest and your computer is already slow maybe you should get more RAM(random access memory), the more you have the bigger the programs you can run and faster i would recommend at least 1 gb(gigabyte)of RAM It runs flawless at about 4gb RAM i don't know if you know what i'm even talking about ::) though, if not just look it up ::)

i can't believe he won :o

by the way he's 62 and i think he's pretty smart
he has amazing strategy!

One way to really learn how to play with the magic faction is to go on youtube and look up "glest magic vs tech" or something like that ;).

(for people who mess with the xml files, like me) ::)

i usually make these changes to the magic faction:

tower of souls:projectiles faster, attack land as well as air
battlemage:faster ep regeneration
archmage:higher hp, and better ep regeneration
