Well, the problem is that they use quite a lot more system resources than a change to the texture. If you're going to use particles, be careful not to go overboard, and keep in mind that not all computers may be able to match yours in terms of graphical quality. And if I recall, unit particle systems can be toggled off, and those who have done so (primarily because of the high overhead of all the extra unnecessary particles) will have no way to find the team color.
Ah right, system resources. I think titi would make a different switch or something though. He actually showed a sample pic of the one with textures, but it's very WIP.

Nice new and retextured models! Perhaps we could rename the other Indian faction to a tribe name, and then package it with this. I don't have time to try it out now, but I think some of the models still need some work though.
For example, viewing from the G3D viewer, the bottom design of the tent looks blurry. And for all the Squaw (Maybe you might want to rename it, I guess it's as controversial as "Indian or Native American"...) you might want to re-model it a bit...)
I'll try testing tomorrow...yay, something new.

The city I live in doesn't have public fireworks, for all I know. My usual city has a population of 117,000 or something. So I just went to another city, got a decent place but a tree was still blocking. First half of the fireworks were pretty mediocre, and then it got better as always. But, it's still good. Then the usual walking back and driving back...another hour. :P

I think our actual # is a little bit less than 1,800 users.
Anyways, good job Omega! Thanks for updating it. If possible, later perhaps you could add icons for each section, so there wouldn't be so many open spaces. Like I think you'll have to recreate the Glest Forum theme from the SMF 2.0 theme this time...  :-X If you preview it you can see it's a lot better, besides colorwise.
Nevermind...I still don't know why it seems so different though.
