alien invasion is cancelled

Hi guys

The military mod is cancelled, I stopped the work on it because I was very bussy and after I lost part of the work that I made for the mod when one of my disks crashed. Nowadays I don't have time to make mods, so I think this mod never be released. I'm sorry.

After that we (the Glest Team) began to work on a web game based on the glest universe, but we stopped the development because some of us are really bussy too, here you can see some artwork that I made for this projet.

I need the exact dimensions, if you reisize it in a not proportional way the image will be distorted again

which exact pixel dimensions you need?

I like it, is quite cool, but the header is badly resized, be careful with this kind of things, the image is distorted vertically. Don't resize a picture over his original size, if you need a bigger one ask it to me.

Archmage, the old theme of glest forums was really dark too, and the metal panels could be stones too, I think is not bad, and of course is much better than the current one.

Thanks for your comments guys, I'm glad you like it :)

ElimiNator:Is a 3ds max scene created by Jose Zanni (the original Glest logo creator) Is quite easy to modify it.

Pressing f key ingame, but don't worry for the moment, maybe it was an isolated case, it only hapened one time.

And here is a background for the install screen, is not really cool but I think is better than the current one:

And also the megaglest logo in PNG format, you can use it as you want:

You mean when the installer is installing stuff on your computer, or loading the units for a game of Glest? Huh

the first one, when installer is installing stuff on the computer, I think that orange color with blue leters is a bit crappy ;)

Works fine for me with win XP 64 :D

maybe there is a bug, it crashes when i put it in free camera mode (not always)

And another thing, I don't like the install screen, if you want I can made a new one

Hi MY NAME IS MJR I tried to install the MegaGlest from the Windows installer on my Windows XP 64 Bit with service pack 2 and all updates installed. Witch Glest 3.22 works fine on. But when I tried to start a game of MegaGlest version 3.2.4-2-beta 4 it says The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click ok to terminate the application. Please advice me what can be done. I am a fan of Glest and would love to try MegaGlest.

I have the same OS than MRJ and I have the same problem with Megaglest

I found this post in this thread by chance

I found this :)

http://www.turbosquid.com/Search/Artists/tucho?referral=tucho

maybe, but what I wanted to show is that they sell something thats available for free :)

I know this post is quite old, but I want to make it clear that those models are not the same that the ones available for free. The Turbosquid models have a improved skinning and are animated, and the ones available for free are only the mesh and texture and the license is different too.

max 7 and 8 are the latest versions that suport G3D export plugin, you can export directly from max if you use 3ds max 7

Mods / Re: Max Animation Frames ?!
« on: 16 January 2010, 01:18:55 »
The model animations of the official Glest tech tree have between 8-15 frames depending on the animation, but we made this models 6 years ago, running the game in modern computers I think you can make animations with more frames without problems

Would there be any way that we could design Glest T-shirts and then submit them? Sort of like a contest?

Nice idea, the glest shop is stopped because we are very busy lately but we are thinking on promote it soon, finishing the shop page and putting links on the main Glest site, etc. To organize a contest with the Glest community to made desings for t-shirts is a good idea, when we have a bit of time we can organize it.

@tucho:
Well... I used the survival kit for the breast and arms, since no units on Magitech are "naked", is there a problem on using the kit?

No, on the contrary, I'm glad the gmsk be useful for the community and gives a bit of help to people like you that are working on mods for Glest, I create this kit exactly for that.

Keep up the good work, I hope see more updates of your faction soon :)

yep, is true, I remember I had the same problem, units with cell map= 0 cant receive damage, after that I made a anti-tank dog unit, a really fast unit that is self destroyed with his own attack. Sorry for the previous wrong reply
