Beginner needs help :D
« on: 22 January 2006, 09:06:40 »
Hi,
I'm trying to play Glest but I even lose the first level. There's this guildmage some sommoners and some initiates, a tower and an engery source. I collect stuff with the initiates and buid other buildings. Create new summoners and have them make deamons. Then there are soldiers comming and just kill each of my people every time.
What's wrong about the way I play?

thx

I think you just need some practice, try playing with allies first.

Yeah, the best thing is to see the quickest ways to make more efficient armies. Try different things, different units. And then see what kind of armies are more effective and kill all your allies. After that, you can try taking on the CPU. What I mostly did was play with two allies and one CPU enemy. That'll help you get started. :)

YES! I won my first one on one :D
But one more thing: Is there kind of like a key binding table or any other kind of manual or instruction? Could find any in the Glest directory. And can this be played against others via internet or LAN?

thx

I don't know about manuals. I think there is a tutorial around somewhere to help you play, not sure. And the game currently has no multplayer support, whether on a LAN, Internet or on the same computer.

To see some useful keys, check the Readme file that come with the game, I think there is an explanation of the differents keys that you can use.
