Ehh, I'm not sure how often this is checked, try sending another email, and maybe making a thread asking about this, and maybe someone will take notice and all your translation to the webpage.

Here's a map i've made:

Code: [Select]
http://rapidshare.com/files/21647117/Ca ... p.rar.html
This map is a canyon with a big river in the centre, the file sent above features two versions:
1 normal version with the river
1 version all dried up

try it !

Also you can host my tileset:

Code: [Select]
http://www.glest.org/glest_board/viewtopic.php?t=1773

I've uploaded the map to Glest: Evolution ;).

You can find it in the
Code: [Select]
downloads folder as
Code: [Select]
.zip and
Code: [Select]
.tar.gz. (The ".unstable" means that I've not tested it).

Hi, being a new Glest user, I downloaded some mods, maps, etc made by users, and not being familiar with the Glest file structure, I think it would be a good help if the addons had a installation readme file with information where to put the files.

This would help newbies to be sure the files are correctly placed, specially when the game crashes after installing some mods.

Meanwhile thanks to all the Glest creators and contributors for this great game.

Keep up the good work

I think what brunurb said makes sense. If someone wants to write a "generic" read me template for mods, so it includes the necessary info for newcomers to easily install them without too much hassle.

Creators would simply add the necessary copyright info (who did what when) and save the readme in their folder.

Are you volunteering djezer?  :O

I think an important feature would be being able to extend the generic template with mod specific information.

If no one steps up to the plate before I get to it, sure. But right now I'm having too much fun learning Blender, and trying to understand how the animation works.

I'm sure that once I learn all that, create a bunch of characters, animate them, create a tech tree branch and buildings, then yeah after that I'll write up a good README.TXT

(Don't hold your breath)
