unit resource creation / usage

I cannot seem to locate any information on how to have a unit create resources with a skill. I.e. the farm raises a pig and cow which become separate units.  In the current version, the pig and cow create X amount of food every X (milliseconds).  If I need to add a control button like 'Slaughter Pig/Cow' to the unit to kill it and add X amount of food, how is this possible?

Secondly, I have a mod that uses a unit called 'Fletcher' which creates the arrow resource for the archer unit to use.  How do I apply a -1 arrow resource for each attack made by the archer unit?
