Links to Game Maker Sites

Hi everybody.

Here are a few links that might be useful for anybody who wants to do own modifications to Glest or even make his own Computer Games:

simple editors for making own games:
Game-Maker 2D-Games (also home to a great magazine on how to program own games)
RPG Game Maker Site

articles and links to other game makers and projects:
Prof. Overmars, Utrecht University Netherlands (running a course on "game design")
Open directory project (DMOZ)

3D modeling software (free- or shareware):
3D Game Studio (Discreet)
Milk-Shape 3D-Modelling Software

List of free 3D engines:
TU Berlin
Crystal Space (platform independent) 3D engine

free graphics and plug ins:
the legendary XEption-Libraries with many Add-Ons to Prof. Overmars' Game Maker
Iso-3D graphics and animation (great stuff!)

my own free stuff:
my free web graphics (for an English version click here!)
my free sounds (for an English version click here!)

and... my own page. Yeah, I know what you guys think. ;) But there's a free web art gallery with 330 entries and free sound FX with about 50 entries. It also provides tons of free scripts for your websites (every great game should have one).
So this might be useful material as well. Since it has more than 3000 files all written in German, there is no complete English translation available. But you still might want to take a look at the English summary.

main page (click here for an English summary)

other interesting links for gamers:
free 3D realtime online RPG (will need to download 100MB client software to play)
free games (German version only)
