tresk@Archon:~> glest
Exception: OpenGL extension not supported: GL_ARB_texture_env_crossbar, required for Glest

is what i get when trying to run glest.

the screen goes black (because its changing resolution, i think and is normal). then after a second it boots me back to my desktop, where my console prints out this error message.

any ideas how i can get this extension supported?

It's probably that your drivers(NVIDIA or ATI) are too old. My second guess would be that your video card is too old(mine is an NVIDIA Geforce440 mx but I know that the game can be played with less).

If your videocard is too old for glest, you have to adquire a newer model.
