Some Questions to Development!

First of all please excuse me my english is a little bit rusty,...

I found glest over some links on the gentoo-portage homepage and gratz its such a nice game,... and I'm very interested in the developement of glest,... would you tell me what i need for developing glest?

I've got skills in nearly every programming language and would like to try some modells too,....

it would be nice if you could send me a list of links or something else what i need to start,....
