Problem w/ Display & Fonts in Ubuntu

Hello,

I was able to build Glest on my Ubuntu Dapper AMD64 system.  I can also execute the game, but there is no text displayed in the control panel to run the game.  Instead the text appears to be split between three offset vertical columns.

I've tried playing around with the display setting and font types in glest.ini but can't seem to make anything work.

My system has the ATI RS480 integrated graphics chip.  My drivers seem to work OK on other apps.  Any troubleshooting ideas would be appreciated.

What have you already tried in the .ini, just out of curiosity, as I had a similar problem when building from source.
