I'm experiencing gaem crash with message (windows dialog):
Unable to lock sound buffer

It happends always after few minutes of playing...
I'm trying to write articele / review about Glest on www.osgamer.org but I just can't see some fightings :)

I had the same problem on one of our PC's. The solution was already given in another thread:

Start -> Run -> dxdiag

And then on the "sound" tab (or something like that, can't remember) decrease hardware acceleration. I set it to 'basic' and then it worked.

It's a slider that is normally set all the way to the right. Just pull it to the left.

No. It is in the 'dxdiag' utility as described earlier.
