Golems?
« on: 3 March 2007, 11:19:47 »
Hello everybody!

I just started playing Glest, and I love it ;) My only problem is that I very much prefer the Magic faction, but I generally play defensively. That works fine against one opponent, but against 2 opponents, I'd really need more than one Golem. Now I've built and researched everything (even hell's gate... what the heck is that for?), but I can't figure out how to build more Golems. Or is it generally impossible, and I need to work with the single one that I'm given at the beginning?

Thanks a lot in advance,
-grayFalcon

the golems are builded by the initiates, in the ritual buttom (next to the build buttom) you can build with the initiates tower of souls, wicker daemons and golems, for create the golem, the only requirements you need are to have a summoner and a library

i would advice you not to depend on golem, you con spend your resource creating intiate and converting them into battlemage.you do know that higher the number of units you have, higher chance survival

Yeah, don't rely on the golems. They aren't really that great of fighters or runners.

true, golems are the walls of the magic faction. it's very good for defense.

my opinion of defense:

having dragons as the first defensive move as to scout(sabotage) and blast the invading groups with fire and retreating afterwards.

best way to use it is by moving the golem under the mage tower, that way golem will be more safe and effective

Golems are extremely important wt the beginning, because they allow you to survive the initial wave of attack. Later on, you should have enough other units to defend yourself. You should be attacking other players by then, though, anyway!
