No, no, what changes is the color of the uniforms. There are some pictures posted in this same thread showing units of two different factions and you can see the different colors clearly.

Because of my poor spanish, I thought, at first, Gawl (3rd post) was talking about super models touching his genitals. But after I ran it through the famously accurate google translator, I found out that he wasn't talking about super models touching his genitals, and he was infact talking about zebras touching hos genitals.

looks great! will there be more flying units in the next version? And also, what are the new factions gonna be named? (if you wnated to be immensly unoriginal you vould do human, Orc, Elf, Undead :wink: )

Thanx for your coment, at the moment this is the only flying unit.

The factions are the magic and the technologic, this was the original idea of Martin-o when he began the Glest project; with this we try to make different factions than in warcraft and other similar games.

This dragon is a unit of the magic faction, in the next version you shall invoke dragons with the summoner.

Blizzard's Warcraft 3 has extremely inneficient 3D rendering, and Glest seemingly does not. So Blizzard has to make the poly count in Warcraft 3 very low. For example, the distance between vertecies on the height map is very large (relative to unit sizes), many units have no more than 800 polygons (footmen have just over 600), and the most elaborate buildings (such as Castles) have only 5000 polygons. Other buildings, such as the farm, have just 800. What Glest lacks over Warcraft III certainly is not graphics.

Graphics I don´t know, but funds... that´s for sure  :O  I agree that tucho is doing an extraordinary work, and not because we are friends but because for months he has not only kept within the same high level of quality in his work, but even raised it. The new robot he just finished made me drop jaws. And yet you have never seen the drawings he makes in minutes while we are talking or taking a coffee...

(after this, I hope he will pay for the next round, hehe).

The livestock aren´t neutral units; in this version the food of the tech faction is produced by the livestock:  farm produces livestock ---> livestock produces food ---> buildings store food

So basically you build a farm it produces livestock. you select a worker, click on the livestock and it kills it for food? which would be kind of cool lets say for example the farm produces 1 cow every minute. you have a few workers standing by to kill the cow each time it appears for food.

 :O  it isn't a bad idea but it´s a little violent, don´t you think?; the system consists that the livestock produces food, and if the enemy kills your livestock the rest of your units die of hunger... if you kill the livestock of the enemy, they will die.
