Glest 3D Plugin needed for 3DS Max version 9
« on: 4 April 2007, 15:59:26 »
Hey all,
The Glest 3D plugin for 3DS max version 9 does not exist. The Plugin Version 1.4 does not work for 3DS Max 9.
Does anyone know where we could find a plugin for 3DS Max 9 wherein one can export to .g3d files?

Yeah, i tried to import the models through blender then into Glest, but it didn't work. Just getting it into Blender loses the animation frames and the texture is lost.

Is there a way to get the source code for the Max plug-in so we can try to figure out how to recompile it to work in max 9?

Yes, letting the community help in the development of your tool sets would help you get the tools you need and encourage the community to want to use and develop for your engine. I can tell you right now I know for a FACT that a major gaming school would like to use this engine, but your tool and art paths are to cumbersome and the lack of current exporter tools is making it tough to justify it's use.

Just a thought to consider before you get snippy with your responses.
