Glest Source Code?
« on: 15 March 2004, 04:31:13 »
Hi,
I haven' t downloaded Glest yet, cuz I have a VERY slow connection (lol) but the screen shots look fantastic. I was just wondering if the source code for Glest comes with the download, or is Glest closed source? I'm into RTS programming so I just thought I'd ask.

Thanks for any replies.

Anyway a Linux version needs the source to compile on different systems(I do not know if LSB 2.0 really change this).
I would also like to see such a Linux portation.
But if Martin-o do not want to make it open source, but he himself want to port it to Linux, he also can make the source public without it is open source(anyhow "open source" means a different product in every license).
After Glest 1.0, Linux-Portation would be the first new feature in my personal wishlist ;)

well im running 2 OS's on two computer's, my XP laptop is my gaming one, but my Linux is a desktop computer and runs faster so I would also like to see a linux plugin... However, I really am more interested on new features in glest and so on, than a linux port.
